The Tamil Nadu Eco-Club Network is a state-wide initiative to establish eco-clubs in all schools. It aims to create environmental awareness and develop leadership skills among students through hands-on activities and community projects.
The main objectives are to establish eco-clubs in all schools, promote environmental awareness, develop student leadership, encourage community participation, and create a network of young environmental leaders.
Schools can register through our online portal. The process involves submitting basic school information, appointing an eco-club coordinator, and forming a student committee. Our team will guide you through the registration process.
All students from classes 6 to 12 can be members of the Eco-Club. Each school should have a teacher coordinator and a student committee to lead the activities.
Eco-Clubs conduct various activities including tree plantation, waste management, water conservation, clean-up drives, environmental awareness campaigns, and inter-school competitions.
Eco-Clubs typically meet once a week during school hours. Additional activities and events are organized on weekends and during holidays.
The network provides training for coordinators, educational materials, activity guidelines, funding support for projects, and opportunities to participate in state and national level programs.
Schools can apply for funding through our annual grant program. The application process is announced at the beginning of each academic year. Additional support is available for special projects and innovative initiatives.
